Boot arrived in timely fashion; was as described except sizing. Reviewers had it right; calves are a little big. Otherwise, wife loved them!
 Why No Ankle Zipper? January 30, 2010

These are okay. I have other boots from this company that I prefer simply because they have an ankle zipper. These are real hard to put on and get off without the cardboard base in the heel bending. An ankle zipper would have made sense. Otherwise, they are comfortable and decent quality.

Great boots and comfortable to wear. I have looked at a lot of this style boots and was worried they would not fit my calfs (15-1/2" and 22" thights). I thought you would like to know you don't have to have those tiny legs in order to wear these boots. However I have short legs inseam 30" so they cover most of my legs so I just fold over the flap just a little bit about 2" or so and it worked great! I bought a size up but wish they came in half sizes because they are a little big. I Love them!!

I bought these boots to wear on Halloween with my sexy pirate costume. They were perfect! Great quality for the price and the heel height is comfortable for walking or standing for long periods. The boots arrived well before the expected ship date giving me plenty of time to "tweak" my costume (I changed out the black laces at the back of the boots for red satin ones to add a bit of flair). I would definitely recommend these boots and this company.

The heel on this boot is perfect for standing and moving around for hours. The laces at the top make the boot adjustable for bigger calves and it is easy to get on and off. Makes a pirate costume look more authentic. Can be worn thigh high for a roguish appearance, or folded down for a more laid back look. Ulta comfy.
